Duchess Climbing Frame
Fort FeaturesThe Duchess Climbing Frame play deck is 1.2m (4ft) from the ground, so it is high enough up to give a challenging climb up and fun slide back down to ground level, but not too high to scare younger children. The fort consists of 4x2 upright beams supporting the upper playhouse. The deck measures 118.7cm (46¾") wide from left to right by 89.53cm (35¼") deep from front to back. This equates to over 1m/sq of raised play area with an enclosed wooden playhouse below.
Safety FeaturesThe Duchess climbing frame has beautiful wooden roof to blend in with your garden providing cover for the play deck that’s enclosed by the slatted wall rails. This climbing frame features a high number of wall rails to prevent arms from being put through bars and create a fantastic cabin feel. This is enhanced by the very popular window to the front of the fort which is a hit with many children who love standing in their high climbing frame tower waving down to mum and dad in the garden below.
Slide FeaturesThe Duchess Climbing frame boasts two slides for added enjoyment. The slides on the Duchess are high railed, especially at the top to ensure children can get onto the slide easily and safely and that they are retained as they enjoy the ride. The slide features a wave in the middle to give some additional excitement, and the bottom of the slide flattens to enable a slower exit to ensure children can place their feet down safely when exiting.
Climbing FeaturesThe Duchess climbing frame also has a rockwall ladder that provides children with access to the upper fort area. The rockwall ladder has been designed in a way to provide both novice and advanced climbers with a safe but challenging ascent to the top. Novice climbers can use the steps in the Rockwall ladder to climb it like a normal step ladder, whilst most adventurous children can plan their ascent using the rockwall mounts.
Play FeaturesThe Duchess climbing frame features a fantastic lower playhouse feature which not only adds to the already eye pleasing look of the frame but also adds some more great play functionality to the climbing frame. There is a whole number of games that your children can play through the window frame of the lower playhouse with just a little imagination. Alternatively the inside of the lower playhouse could be turned into a sandpit. Should you decide to do this we would recommend using a weed suppressant membrane.
Additional InfoThe Duchess climbing frame comes pre-cut, pre-drilled and pre-stained which makes a home-build as easy as possible. We also supply an illustrated owner’s manual showing you exactly how to build the climbing frame. All you’ll need is basic DIY tools. This climbing frame is designed for children aged between 3 and 10 years of age and is tested (EN-71 & ASTM) to meet requirements for private residential use – this climbing frame is not suitable for commercial use.
